The Academy

The Academy is designed for players that have demonstrated during their time at the development centres the potential in aptitude, fitness and capabilities to perform at a competitive level for the County and who might be expected to benefit from a higher level of coaching. Coaching priorities are in match preparation, team plays and set piece training. Players will only be invited to attend if they have attended the development centres.

Coaching sessions will take place across the County with a team of coaches and Goalkeeper coaches under the leadership of a Head Coach.

Selection for Academy does not mean selection for matches and players will be encouraged to continue to work hard to earn their place in team selection.
